The workshop will take place from May, 12th to 13th at the University-Business Foundation of the University of Valencia (ADEIT) . ADEIT is an organisation, with its own legal personality, promoted by the Social Council of the University of Valencia in 1989, whose objective is, on the one hand, that companies take advantage of the University's capabilities, and on the other hand, to serve as a channel to transmit to the University the needs of companies and productive sectors. The XV SEPEX & II Joint SEPEX-BAPS meeting 2026 will bring together members from the Spanish Society for Experimental Psychology (SEPEX) and the Belgian Association for Psychological Sciences (BAPS). The meeting will take place in Valencia, on September 9-11th, 2026, with pre-meeting workshops on September 8th. It is hosted by the Reading Research Unit (ERI Lectura) from the University of Valencia.

By merging the tradition and interests of SEPEX and BAPS, the Joint meeting will focus on all areas of psychological research, with a particular emphasis on experimental psychology. The meeting will proudly feature the following keynotes: Kate Nation (University of Oxford), Akira Miyake (University of Colorado Boulder) and Agnes Moors (KU Leuven), as well as those from the SEPEX Emerging Researcher Award and Pio Tudela lecture (to be announced).

TeVPA 2025 is an international conference focused on the field of Particle Astrophysics, covering exciting and timely topics such as cosmic ray physics, gamma-ray astronomy, neutrino astronomy, cosmology, direct and indirect 

searches for dark matter, gravitational waves, and connections to particle physics. Both plenary and parallel sessions will be devoted to explore the current status and the future perspectives of these topics in Valencia in late 2025.

Fibrosis - the excessive growth of fibrous tissue due to chronic inflammation and altered tissue remodelling and repair processes - is a complex condition that affects millions worldwide, and the need for effective treatments and reliable diagnostic tools has never been more urgent. As it can affect various organs, fibrosis is a key component of numerous prevalent pathologies, including cystic fibrosis, Crohn’s Disease and Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.

Despite the huge advances made by research in recent years, the molecular mechanisms involved in the development of fibrosis are still unclear and can differ in each of the affected organs. Importantly, there are few effective therapeutic options, and only for some organs, such as the lung and kidney, with no anti-fibrotic pharmacological treatments currently available for the intestine or liver.

The International Workshop on Liver and Gut Fibrosis is an initiative to bring together basic scientists and clinical experts working in the field to foster collaboration and advance our understanding of this condition. The workshop focuses on the molecular mechanisms involved in the different types of fibrosis, particularly on those that are common to different organs. In this way, we set out to explore avenues that might lead to an improvement of current therapeutic approaches and the identification of new pharmacological targets that could relieve the burden of fibrosis for millions of patients.

Following on from the first and second editions of this biannual workshop held in Valencia, on Spain’s Mediterranean coast, the 3rd edition will be a unique opportunity to engage with experts who are at the forefront of research to develop innovative anti-fibrotic therapies and identify new diagnostic tools that will bring significant transformations to patient care. We invite those of you with an interest in fibrosis to join us at Fundación Adeit on 16-17 October 2025 to continue exploring this increasingly relevant topic.

The 13th edition of the Beam Telescopes and Test Beams Workshop will be held in Valencia, Spain.

This workshop will cover a wide range of topics related to test beams for detector studies in tracking detectors, calorimetry and beyond. It aims at bringing together both experts and newcomers from various fields. There will be a combination of presentations by experienced users, results from recent test beam studies and tutorials to teach the software required to analyze the results.

On January 15, 16 and 17, 2025 the 6th General Scientific Meeting of the National Biostatistics Network will be held in Valencia. As a continuation of the biannual meetings that the network has been holding since 2010, for the first time, we will leave Santiago to go to Valencia to celebrate the sixth scientific national meeting of our National Biostatistics network. In addition to the 12 nodes that have formed BIOSTATNET since the last call for network projects, researchers in biostatistics who wish to join the network are also invited to participate. 

As always, you will be the main protagonists at the meeting, so we will do our best to make you enjoy your stay in Valencia. To this end, we are preparing a program in which we will focus on showing you the latest structural changes in the network, which we have made progress on since the last meeting. At the same time, we invite you to present your research.

Although the full program will be available soon, we anticipate the presence of Ingrid Van Keilegom (KU Leuven) as a keynote speaker. Add to this that Alan Gelfand (Duke University) will give the course entitled Some Current Topics in Spatial Analysis. The program will also include invited-to-contribute sessions of the recently created working groups, a poster session in which all members of the network (and all the participants in general) are invited to participate and in which young researchers will have a special role, a session dedicated to students who have obtained a BIOSTATNET scholarship for a stay between nodes; and other sessions in which we will talk, analyze and discuss the future of the network.

Of course, we will not miss our traditional gala dinner, whose objective will be to share a good time and strengthen relations among all of us.

The CoCoNuT Meeting is a series of workshops aiming at fostering collaboration among relativistic astrophysicsgroups, specially within Europe. The series has been taking place yearly since 2009 and this year is hosted by the University of Valencia. 

This edition will be focused on gravitational waves, in particular in the modelling and detection of compact objects with matter, such as binary neutron stars, supernovae and neutron stars. The different topics will be introduced by the invited speakers, followed by contributed talks. 

The meeting will take place at the ADEIT, the University-Enterprise Foundation of the University of Valencia. 

About Registration 

The registration period for the CoCoNuT Meeting 2024 is from September 5th to November 25th and must be done through the black button "ENROLL"

Participation is not guaranteed until full payment of the registration fee is received. The registration cost meeting is 50€. It includes the access to all sessions, all coffee breaks and lunches, as well as the conference dinner on Thursday and certificate of participation issued online. If you need an invoice, you can ask it during the registration process.

The conference dinner will be at the "Pelayo Gastro Trinquet". This is a unique space, the cathedral of valencian pilota. It is a traditional Valencian sport, a local variant of the ball games, which are practiced in various places around the world. It is the oldest sporting venue in Europe with a restaurant that offers exquisite local gastronomy.

DESCRIPTION

The Biostatistics Working Group of the Spanish Statistical and Operations Research Society is pleased to announce the inaugural meeting of the group, which will be held in Valencia from 11:00 am of Monday 28th till 6:00 pm of Tuesday 29th of October, 2024.

The workshop will serve to promote the field of biostatistics and its use in a friendly and inclusive environment.

The meeting will comprise talks, posters, and round tables, during which a broad range of topics in biostatistics will be discussed.

This will provide attendees with an insight into the significant role that this area plays in our current world. Prof. Els Goetghebeur (Dept. of Applied Mathematics, Computer Science and Statistics, Gent University), Prof. Dimitrios Bagkavos (Dept. of Mathematics, University of Ioannina) and Prof. Martin Posch (Center for Medical Data Science, Universität Wien) have already confirmed that they will give the three invited plenary talks.

Important: PhD student members of the SEIO biostatistics group will have up to 15 scholarships to cover their registration fees. If you are interested, you can apply for them by sending an email to david.v.conesa@uv.es indicating your interest and a certification that you are enrolled in a PhD program and that you are a member of the SEIO. Priority will be given to students who are going to present a communication, either in the invited oral sessions, in the contributed sessions or if they present a poster.

The sixth iteration of the Magnificent CEvNS workshop, focusing on the process of coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CEvNS) will be held in Valencia, Spain, from June 12 to June 14, 2024.

The workshop will take place at the University-Enterprise Foundation of the University of Valencia (ADEIT), located in the historic center of the city of Valencia.

Proposed in 1974, but unobserved until 2017, the physics accessible with CEvNS is extensive. Magnificent CEvNS aims to bring together a broad community of researchers working either directly or peripherally on CEvNS to foster enriching discussions, direct the field as it continues to grow, and form and strengthen connections between experimentalists and theorists/phenomenologists. 

The registration period for the 6th Magnificent CEvNS workshop is from December 15th, 2023 to May 22nd, 2024 and must be done through the black button "ENROLL"

Participation is not guaranteed until full payment of the registration fee is received. The registration cost for the workshop is 250€. It includes the access to all sessions, coffee breaks, welcome cocktail, lunches, workshop dinner and certificate of participation issued online. Your accompanying  person is welcome to participate in the workshop dinner  The workshop dinner for accompanying person (60€) can be purchased during the registration process. If you need an invoice, you can ask it during the registration process. In case, you need the invoice with your personal details, please, select TAX-ID and use your passport number.
