The teaching of grammar has taken on renewed prominence in linguistic education research over the last decade. This interest is evident in the establishment of academic forums dedicated specifically to this issue—such as the four previous editions of CONGRAM (Valencia 2014, 2016 and 2023; Barcelona 2019) and the seminars organised by ARLE’s SIG-EduLing—as well as in the proliferation of studies and publications addressing grammar from theoretical, didactic and applied perspectives.

The theme of this edition, ‘Grammar in Focus – Focus on Grammar’, invites a critical examination of the multiple functions that grammar performs in language teaching and learning. On the one hand, it positions grammar as both an object of study and a tool for understanding linguistic processes. On the other hand, it highlights the importance of approaches that promote meta- and interlinguistic reflection, understood as a key component for the development of linguistic awareness and the improvement of effective language use.

The conference invites researchers to submit papers that explore the processes of teaching and learning grammar in diverse educational contexts—formal, non-formal and multimodal—at all levels of education and in first and additional languages. Particular value will be placed on contributions that bridge theory and practice, explore new methodologies, or provide empirical evidence on the role of grammar in the construction of linguistic knowledge.

The 64^th Meeting of the European High Pressure Research Group will be held in Valencia, on Spain's Mediterranean coast, from 5–10 September 2027. The meeting will bring together researchers from across the world who apply high-pressure techniques to address challenges in a broad range of fundamental and applied scientific disciplines.

The 64^th EHPRG conference venue will be the University-Enterprise Foundation of the University of Valencia (ADEIT). It is located in the historic center of the city of Valencia, in a unique setting with unique buildings and monuments.
