1. OBJETIVOS

Facilitar el bienestar emocional y las relaciones interpersonales sanas.

En algunos momentos de la vida actuamos de acuerdo con las normas sociales y realizamos las obligaciones que tenemos sin pararnos en el estado personal, sin escuchar los mensajes que nos dan el organismo y el psiquismo. Acumulamos tensiones, dificultades, preocupaciones, sin permitirnos la oportunidad de preguntarnos qué objetivos tenemos en la vida, que queremos conseguir y que nos hace sentirnos mejor.

Además del autoconocimiento, necesitamos el contacto con los otros, pero las relaciones interpersonales muchas veces son difíciles. Las decisiones que tomamos están irremediablemente intervenidas por el mundo emocional, el nuestro y el de las personas con quienes nos relacionamos.

Esta actividad formativa pretende ser un espacio de reflexión y práctica sobre las actitudes y habilidades que nos permiten sentirnos satisfechos con la vida, con nuestras relaciones y nuestras decisiones importantes en ella.

El curso tiene créditos reconocidos de participación universitaria en los GRADOS de la Universitat de València.

El curso será en línea, a través del aula virtual de la Universitat de València. Se realizarán videoconferencias en los días indicados y en el horario señalado, y se propondrán actividades para realizar durante las horas de las sesiones.

Para obtener el certificado con los créditos será necesario una asistencia mínima del 80% a las videoconferencias, participar en el 80% de las actividades propuestas por el profesorado y superar con un 50% el examen final.

The XV SEPEX & II Joint SEPEX-BAPS meeting 2026 will bring together members from the Spanish Society for Experimental Psychology (SEPEX) and the Belgian Association for Psychological Sciences (BAPS). 1. JUSTIFICACIÓN

El mercado laboral está en constante evolución, y en los últimos años hemos observado un cambio drástico en las habilidades más buscadas. La ciudad de València acogerá los días 27, 28 y 29 de noviembre de 2025 una nueva edición de las Jornadas de la Conferencia de Consejos Sociales de las Universidades Españolas, un foro anual de diálogo, reflexión y colaboración entre la universidad, la empresa y la sociedad.

Bajo el lema “CCS, impulsando la transferencia de conocimiento”, el encuentro centrará su atención en el papel estratégico de los Consejos Sociales como puente entre el ámbito académico y el tejido productivo para fomentar una universidad más abierta, emprendedora y comprometida con el impacto social.

Las jornadas se inaugurarán el 27 de noviembre en el histórico edificio de La Nau y continuarán en la sede de la Fundación ADEIT de la Universitat de València, ambos enclaves situados en el corazón de la ciudad. TeVPA 2025 is an international conference focused on the field of Particle Astrophysics, covering exciting and timely topics such as cosmic ray physics, gamma-ray astronomy, neutrino astronomy, cosmology, direct and indirect 

searches for dark matter, gravitational waves, and connections to particle physics. Both plenary and parallel sessions will be devoted to explore the current status and the future perspectives of these topics in Valencia in late 2025.

1. JUSTIFICACIÓN

Es evidente que en la actualidad estamos rodeados por grandes cantidades de datos que debemos gestionar de la mejor forma posible. Los datos, por sí solos, proporcionan información muy pobre, sin embargo, una buena gestión de éstos permite a las empresas, a las instituciones y al público en general, tomar mejores decisiones, innovar, mejorar y estar en constante actualización de las tendencias de cada sector. La importancia de los datos no radica solamente en recabarlos (tarea ardua y necesaria), sino también en cómo clasificarlos, cómo analizarlos y cómo mostrarlos. De ahí la importancia de la gestión de los datos y de la buena visualización de los resultados para que el mensaje llegue al mayor número de personas posible. 

2. OBJETIVOS

El objetivo principal de este curso es proporcionar al alumnado conocimientos sobre técnicas de visualización de datos y presentación de informes, mediante el programa PowerBI. Se trata de una herramienta creada por Microsoft con el fin de ayudar en el análisis y visualización de datos dando respuesta a la necesidad creciente de las empresas y estructuras organizativas.

Los conocimientos sobre el uso básico del PowerBI proporcionará al alumnado un valor añadido en el desarrollo de sus competencias con el objetivo de mejorar la calidad de su empleabilidad.

Se trata, en definitiva, de proporcionar a los/las futuros/as titulados/as, recursos que les permitan desarrollar un itinerario adecuado de inserción laboral, ayudando a clarificar sus intereses y definir su objetivo profesional. Además, el estudiantado podrá conocer los diferentes agentes de inserción, planificar su estrategia y, finalmente, comenzar la acción de búsqueda de empleo, familiarizándose con las diferentes pruebas y herramientas que se emplean en los procesos de selección.

Fibrosis - the excessive growth of fibrous tissue due to chronic inflammation and altered tissue remodelling and repair processes - is a complex condition that affects millions worldwide, and the need for effective treatments and reliable diagnostic tools has never been more urgent. As it can affect various organs, fibrosis is a key component of numerous prevalent pathologies, including cystic fibrosis, Crohn’s Disease and Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.

Despite the huge advances made by research in recent years, the molecular mechanisms involved in the development of fibrosis are still unclear and can differ in each of the affected organs. Importantly, there are few effective therapeutic options, and only for some organs, such as the lung and kidney, with no anti-fibrotic pharmacological treatments currently available for the intestine or liver.

The International Workshop on Liver and Gut Fibrosis is an initiative to bring together basic scientists and clinical experts working in the field to foster collaboration and advance our understanding of this condition. The workshop focuses on the molecular mechanisms involved in the different types of fibrosis, particularly on those that are common to different organs. In this way, we set out to explore avenues that might lead to an improvement of current therapeutic approaches and the identification of new pharmacological targets that could relieve the burden of fibrosis for millions of patients.

Following on from the first and second editions of this biannual workshop held in Valencia, on Spain’s Mediterranean coast, the 3rd edition will be a unique opportunity to engage with experts who are at the forefront of research to develop innovative anti-fibrotic therapies and identify new diagnostic tools that will bring significant transformations to patient care. We invite those of you with an interest in fibrosis to join us at Fundación Adeit on 16-17 October 2025 to continue exploring this increasingly relevant topic.

The 13th edition of the Beam Telescopes and Test Beams Workshop will be held in Valencia, Spain.

This workshop will cover a wide range of topics related to test beams for detector studies in tracking detectors, calorimetry and beyond. Welcome!

On January 15, 16 and 17, 2025 the 6th General Scientific Meeting of the National Biostatistics Network will be held in Valencia. As a continuation of the biannual meetings that the network has been holding since 2010, for the first time, we will leave Santiago to go to Valencia to celebrate the sixth scientific national meeting of our National Biostatistics network. In addition to the 12 nodes that have formed BIOSTATNET since the last call for network projects, researchers in biostatistics who wish to join the network are also invited to participate. 

As always, you will be the main protagonists at the meeting, so we will do our best to make you enjoy your stay in Valencia. To this end, we are preparing a program in which we will focus on showing you the latest structural changes in the network, which we have made progress on since the last meeting. At the same time, we invite you to present your research.

Although the full program will be available soon, we anticipate the presence of Ingrid Van Keilegom (KU Leuven) as a keynote speaker. Add to this that Alan Gelfand (Duke University) will give the course entitled Some Current Topics in Spatial Analysis. The program will also include invited-to-contribute sessions of the recently created working groups, a poster session in which all members of the network (and all the participants in general) are invited to participate and in which young researchers will have a special role, a session dedicated to students who have obtained a BIOSTATNET scholarship for a stay between nodes; and other sessions in which we will talk, analyze and discuss the future of the network.

Of course, we will not miss our traditional gala dinner, whose objective will be to share a good time and strengthen relations among all of us.

The Scientific Committee of the 6th Meeting of the National Network of Biostatistics

The CoCoNuT Meeting is a series of workshops aiming at fostering collaboration among relativistic astrophysicsgroups, specially within Europe. The series has been taking place yearly since 2009 and this year is hosted by the University of Valencia. 

This edition will be focused on gravitational waves, in particular in the modelling and detection of compact objects with matter, such as binary neutron stars, supernovae and neutron stars. The different topics will be introduced by the invited speakers, followed by contributed talks. 

The meeting will take place at the ADEIT, the University-Enterprise Foundation of the University of Valencia. 

About Registration 

The registration period for the CoCoNuT Meeting 2024 is from September 5th to November 25th and must be done through the black button "ENROLL"

The conference dinner will be at the "Pelayo Gastro Trinquet". This is a unique space, the cathedral of valencian pilota. DESCRIPCIÓN Y OBJETIVO

El objetivo del curso es que los asistentes puedan conocer de una manera práctica y aplicada la intervención para familiares de personas con Trastorno Límite de la Personalidad (TLP) o desregulación emocional con mayor apoyo empírico hasta el momento: Family Connections  (Hoffman et al., 2005).

El programa FC se imparte en grupo y se estructura a lo largo de 12 sesiones semanales de dos horas de duración. Está basado en la Terapia Dialéctica Comportamental/Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) (DBT) y el Modelo de Estrés, Afrontamiento y Adaptación (Lazarus y Folkman, 1984).  

El contenido del programa se divide en 6 módulos e incluye:

• Psicoeducación acerca de TLP y de la desregulación emocional, y de cómo todo ello afecta al funcionamiento familiar (Modelo Transaccional).
• Ofrece habilidades individuales y familiares, como, por ejemplo, toma de conciencia de la relación, habilidades de aceptación, habilidades de validación y autovalidación, y habilidades de gestión o manejo de problemas), así como apoyo proporcionado por los iguales, es decir, el grupo.
• Todos los módulos incluyen videos de demostración, ejercicios prácticos específicos y tareas para casa. 

Es importante señalar que no se trata de un tratamiento tradicional para los familiares, sino de un entrenamiento en habilidades. Por ello, el programa puede ser aplicado por profesionales, psicólogos clínicos o psiquiatras, pero también puede ser aplicado por familiares que han sido entrenados para ello.

Los familiares que están interesados en formarse en la aplicación del programa, realizan un periodo de entrenamiento con distintas fases, donde son supervisados hasta que completan la formación y pueden llegar a dirigir grupos de Family Connections.

The Biostatistics Working Group of the Spanish Statistical and Operations Research Society is pleased to announce the inaugural meeting of the group, which will be held in Valencia from 11:00 am of Monday 28th till 6:00 pm of Tuesday 29th of October, 2024.

The workshop will serve to promote the field of biostatistics and its use in a friendly and inclusive environment.

The meeting will comprise talks, posters, and round tables, during which a broad range of topics in biostatistics will be discussed.

This will provide attendees with an insight into the significant role that this area plays in our current world. Prof. Els Goetghebeur (Dept. of Applied Mathematics, Computer Science and Statistics, Gent University), Prof. Dimitrios Bagkavos (Dept. of Mathematics, University of Ioannina) and Prof. Martin Posch (Center for Medical Data Science, Universität Wien) have already confirmed that they will give the three invited plenary talks.

Important: PhD student members of the SEIO biostatistics group will have up to 15 scholarships to cover their registration fees. If you are interested, you can apply for them by sending an email to david.v.conesa@uv.es indicating your interest and a certification that you are enrolled in a PhD program and that you are a member of the SEIO. The 4th International Conference EnTRetextos is an event hosted by the Interuniversity Institute for Applied Modern Languages (IULMA) at the University of Valencia. The aim of our conference is to create a forum for scientific debate for both young and experienced researchers in multiple disciplines of Applied Linguistics (translation, languages for professional and academic purposes, pragmatics, discourse analysis, corpus linguistics, lexicology, Construction Grammar, cognitive linguistics).

Cancellation by the participant

•    If a conference delegate is unable to attend, he or she can assign his/her registration to another person, as long as ADEIT is informed of the change at least 48 hours before the activity. Cancellation must be made before July 15th, 2024, 10% of the fee will be retained by ADEIT for administrative costs. After July 15th, 2024 participants withdrawing from the activity will not receive any refund.

•    The Organizers have the right to change the Regulations at any time. The changes shall be published on the congress webpage.

VIBASS7 is the seventh edition of the Summer School on Bayesian Statistics to be held from 8 to 12 July 2024 in València (Spain).

The sixth iteration of the Magnificent CEvNS workshop, focusing on the process of coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CEvNS) will be held in Valencia, Spain, from June 12 to June 14, 2024.

The workshop will take place at the University-Enterprise Foundation of the University of Valencia (ADEIT), located in the historic center of the city of Valencia.

Proposed in 1974, but unobserved until 2017, the physics accessible with CEvNS is extensive. Magnificent CEvNS aims to bring together a broad community of researchers working either directly or peripherally on CEvNS to foster enriching discussions, direct the field as it continues to grow, and form and strengthen connections between experimentalists and theorists/phenomenologists. 

The registration period for the 6th Magnificent CEvNS workshop is from December 15th, 2023 to May 22nd, 2024 and must be done through the black button "ENROLL"

Participation is not guaranteed until full payment of the registration fee is received. The registration cost for the workshop is 250€.
